Versions and restoring
Every change is a version you can look at and go back to.
Every request that changes your app saves a version. You can look at any earlier version and go back to it at no cost. Nothing is ever deleted.
Open the version history
Press the history icon at the top of the chat. The chat makes room for Version history, grouped by day. Back to chat returns to the conversation.
Each version shows the request that made it, its type and when it happened. The newest is marked Current. Types include Build, Edit, Automatic fix, Restore, Visual edit, Specification edit and Notes update.
All shows every version. Press the star on a version to bookmark it, and Bookmarked shows only those.
Look at an earlier version
Open the … menu on a version:
- Preview this version shows that version in the preview. A banner says your latest version is untouched, with Back to latest and Restore this version.
- View code shows the files as they were at that version.
Restore a version
Choose Restore this version and confirm. Your app's files return to that version as a new entry in the history, so you can always come back to where you were. Restoring is free.
Undo a notes update
When a request updates the project notes, the update is listed under it as "Notes update". Its menu has Undo this notes change, which puts back only the notes and leaves your app as it is. This is also free.
