Code and export
Read your app's code, and download the source and data whenever you like.
Yorki writes ordinary code: a React web app in TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS, with its backend in your app's cloud. You can read every file and take the whole project with you whenever you like.
Read the code
Open the Code view. The files are on the left; select one to read it.
- Add to chat puts a reference to the file, or the selected lines, into the composer, so you can ask about or change exactly that part.
- Some files are marked as protected system files. They handle sign-in, data access and the build, and are kept by Yorki.
To see the files as they were at an earlier point, open a version's … menu and choose View code. See Versions and restoring.
Export your project
Open Settings, Export and press Download export. You get one zip file with everything needed to run your app on your own computer or server:
| In the export | What it is |
|---|---|
app/ | Your app's source code |
pb/ | The cloud: its database, accounts and uploaded files, and the setup to run it |
dist/client/ | A ready-built copy of the app, when one exists |
docker-compose.yml and README.md | How to start everything with one command |
Exporting is free. It is not available while a build is running.
Passwords for the cloud's admin and your Google sign-in secret are left out. Google sign-in is switched off in the copy.
Run it yourself
The export needs Docker. Unzip it, open a terminal in the folder and run:
docker compose up --build
Your app then runs at http://localhost:8080. The included README explains how to create an admin account for the cloud.
