Integrations
Keys for the services your app talks to — a weather or maps plan, a payment provider, your own AI provider.
Some features need a service of their own: a weather or maps plan, a payment provider, an AI provider you already pay for. Those services give you a key, a long secret string that says the requests are yours. Yorki keeps such keys for your app under Settings, Integrations.
For AI you do not need a key at all: Yorki runs it for you, see AI in your app.
What a key is for
A key lets your app's server code call a service on your account. The service bills you for what your app uses, on your own plan with them. Yorki never charges for it and never sees the bill.
A key is stored encrypted. Once saved it is never shown again, not to you and not to Yorki's AI, and only your app's server code can read it. It never reaches your visitors' browsers.
Ask for the feature first
You do not need to know which key a feature needs. Ask for the feature, for example "Add a page with today's weather in Stockholm from OpenWeather". Yorki builds the whole feature and tells you, in its reply and on the page itself, which key to add, for example:
Add OPENWEATHER_API_KEY under Settings → Integrations and the forecast appears.
Never paste a key into the chat. Yorki does not need it there and will ask you to add it in Settings instead.
Add a key
- Get the key from the service, usually in its dashboard under API keys.
- In Yorki, open Settings, Integrations.
- Type the name Yorki gave you under Name, for example
OPENWEATHER_API_KEY. Names use capital letters, digits and underscores. - Paste the key under Value and press Add key.
If your preview is open, the feature starts working on the next page load. There is no need to build again.
Replace or remove a key
Replace saves a new value under the same name, for example when you rotate a key at the service. Remove deletes the key; features that use it show their "add the key" message again until you add it back.
To stop a key from working everywhere, also revoke it in the service's own dashboard.
Published apps
When you publish, your app's server code goes live with it and reads your keys there too. A key you add, replace or remove later reaches the published app within a minute, without publishing again.
The AI key
Every app also has a key named YORKI_AI_KEY in this list, marked Managed by Yorki. Yorki creates it so your app can use AI. You cannot replace or remove it here; to replace it, open Settings, AI and press Re-mint.
