Making changes
Ask for edits, attach images and screenshots, and share what your cloud saw.
After the first build, every request in Build mode changes your app. This page covers how to ask, what you can attach, and how to make small visual changes yourself.
Ask for a change
Type the change into the composer and press Enter. Shift+Enter starts a new line. Yorki shows its progress in the chat, updates the preview when the change is ready and saves a new version.
A few things you may see at the end:
- A note about your data. For example "Saved in the cloud", or "On screen only", which means anything entered is lost on reload. If you expected it to be saved, ask Yorki to save it in the cloud.
- Ideas for what to add next. Press one to put it in the composer. It is not sent until you press send.
- "Your app already does this." Nothing needed changing. The calls it made are charged like any request; the reply's … menu shows the credits used.
- "Answered." Your message was a question, so Yorki answered it and changed nothing.
Attach images
In Build mode, press + and Upload from computer, or paste an image into the composer. Use it for a screenshot of something you want to copy, a sketch, your logo or product photos.
- Up to 3 images per request.
- Up to 5 MB each.
- JPEG, PNG or WebP.
Images only work in Build mode. Chat and Plan messages are text only.
Share what your cloud saw
When your app has cloud turned on, the + menu also offers three attachments:
- Cloud errors, last 7 days: the requests your app's cloud refused.
- Cloud logs, latest requests: the most recent requests it answered.
- Cloud usage: how much it holds and how busy it is.
They are read fresh when you send, so Yorki sees the same thing you would see in Settings. Your message keeps a short line, such as "(attached: cloud errors, last 7 days)", as a record.
Edit in the preview
For small visual changes you do not need a request. Press Edit above the preview, then click an element in your app. A toolbar appears under it:
- Add to chat puts a reference to the element in the composer, so you can ask for a change to exactly that element.
- Text content changes the words.
- Font, Font size, Text alignment and Opacity change how text looks.
- Spacing sets the margin and padding.
- Corner radius rounds the corners.
- View in the code tab opens the file the element comes from.
- Delete element removes it straight away.
Visual edits are free. Each saved change becomes a "Visual edit" version, so restoring an earlier version undoes it.
When a change goes wrong
If a request does not work out, your app stays as it was and the request costs nothing. Rephrase it, split it into smaller steps, or ask in Chat what went wrong first. To go back to an earlier state, restore a version.
