Yorki

Yorki vs Base44: an honest comparison

Both build the whole app from a description, backend included. They differ in what a month costs, what your live app spends credits on, and what happens after launch.

Yorki vs. Base44

The short answer

Yorki Pro is $11.99 a month for 100 credits, and Base44 Starter is $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, for 100 message credits and 2,000 integration credits. Both build the whole app, backend included. The difference is what your live app spends after launch: on Yorki, hosting, the database, file storage and user sign-in come with every plan and never use credits; on Base44, every email, file upload, AI call or backend function your app runs spends integration credits, and when they run out those actions fail until the next reset. Base44 is the better choice for teams, with workspaces on every plan, and for a larger free allowance to try with; Yorki is the better choice for one flat price that covers the whole app, before and after launch.

Where Base44 is the better choice

  • Teams on every plan. A workspace can have as many members as you want, Free included, sharing one pool of credits. Yorki has no team workspaces yet.
  • More to try with for free. 25 message credits a month against 10 credits on Yorki.

Where Yorki is the better choice

  • One flat price for the whole app. Hosting, publishing, the database, file storage and user sign-in come with both plans and never use credits. On Base44 a busy app spends integration credits on every email, upload, AI call and backend function, and stops doing those things when they run out.
  • A safe place to try changes, on every plan. Every Yorki app has a separate development cloud with its own data; your users see a change only when you publish it. Base44's preview works on production data unless you are on Builder or above and switch test data on.
  • You hear about problems first. Yorki emails you when a visitor runs into a problem, and can fix it for you. Base44 gives you an activity monitor to check.
  • Take everything with you. Export the code and the whole cloud in one click. Base44's GitHub sync carries the code; the database and the built-in services stay with Base44.
  • Credits that roll over. On Pro, unused credits roll over for one month. Base44's expire at each reset.
  • A lower price. Pro is $11.99 a month, or $119.90 a year, at a launch price that stays the same while you stay subscribed; Base44 Starter is $20, or $16 a month billed yearly.

Which should you pick

Pick Base44 if you work with a team in one workspace, or want a larger free allowance to try with before you pay.

Pick Yorki if you build on your own or for a small business and want one predictable monthly price that covers building, hosting and the cloud, with a separate development cloud on every plan and an email when something breaks. Yorki is a newer product with a smaller community.

How Yorki prices

  • Free: 10 credits a month and a tiny Yorki cloud (database, authentication and file storage).
  • Pro: 100 credits a month for $11.99, or $119.90 a year, which works out at $9.99 a month, with a production-grade Yorki cloud. Larger sizes go up to 5,000 credits a month. The launch price stays the same for as long as you stay subscribed; the list price is $15 a month.
  • Both plans: unlimited published apps, with hosting, the database, file storage and user sign-in included.

On Pro, unused credits roll over for one month, or until one month after a yearly plan ends; on Free the allowance resets on the first day of each month. Plans are paid in advance, and Yorki never bills you after the fact. The pricing page has the full details, and Base44's pricing page has theirs.
